Since the release of the first-generation Walker RTK in 2022, we have received numerous requests for this product along with valuable feedback regarding its design. The original Walker RTK was crafted to resemble a natural extension of the surveying pole — featuring a durable anodized aluminum body and a clean, minimalist aesthetic. We were pleased to hear from many professionals who felt that we had elegantly brought their long-standing vision to life. It turns out that this design was exactly what many had imagined for years.
The challenge
However, there were also different opinions — some users felt that the receiver was too long and that a more compact design would be more convenient in everyday use. We didn’t argue over preferences, as the device’s size has no impact on its precision. Instead, we listened carefully, took note of every comment, and began preparing for the launch of the second-generation Walker RTK.
Our Solution
We took into account the key requests from our customers: reduced weight, shorter length, a new modern GNSS module, tilt compensation using a built-in IMU sensor, and full support for the popular geodetic software SurPad 4.2.
